Asher, Kilday, Palmer Join List of College Commits
Parkview seniors Theo Asher, Zack Kilday and Austin Palmer have all recently committed to play college baseball. They join seniors Zack Chastain, Curtis Keegan and Blake Pockrandt, bringing the total number of commitments to six. The complete list is as follows:

K. D. Kang Signs Pro Contract
Former Parkview player K. D. Kang, a 2006 graduate, has signed to play professional baseball with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Kang was a 15th round draft pick of the Devil Rays in the 2006 MLB draft. He played the past year at Chattahoochee Valley Community College as a Tampa Bay "draft and follow". He is scheduled to begin his pro career in the rookie league on June 5. Congratulations to K. D.!

Parkview Eliminated from State Playoffs, ending Season with a Record of 17-11
The Varsity Panthers came up against a hot hitting Harrison Hoyas team and were defeated in the first round of the State Playoffs. The Panthers ended the season with 17 wins and 11 losses, finishing second in Region 8. Congratulations to the players and coaches on another winning season and another trip to the playoffs. A special thanks goes to all the seniors for your hard work and dedication and for all you have meant to Parkview Baseball ... Best of Luck in your future plans.

Parkview Hosts Harrison in First Round of Playoffs
The Parkview Panthers finished second in Region 8 and will host the Harrison Hoyas, the third place team in Region 5, in Round 1 of the State Playoffs. All playoff rounds are best 2 out of 3 series. This first round begins with a doubleheader on Friday, May 11, starting at 4:00. If the teams split the Friday games, then there will be a deciding game Saturday, May 12 at 1:00. This is an exciting time of the year and we need the support of all families to prepare for this series and to cheer the team on. Game times and other details will follow. Panther Varsity completes Regular Season, awaits Playoffs
The Varsity Panthers won their final regular season game against Shiloh on Wednesday, May 2. We ended the regular season with a record of 17 wins and 9 losses and must now await completion of the remaining region games to see where we will be seeded for the playoffs. JV Team finishes Season with a 15-3 Record
The Parkview Junior Varsity team wrapped up the Spring 2007 season with a win over South Gwinnett on Tuesday, May 1. Congratulations to the JV players and coaches on another successful season, as they finished with 15 wins and 3 losses.

Freshmen Team wins League Tournament and finishes 15-3
The Panther Freshman team beat Dacula and Grayson on Saturday, April 28 to win their league tournament at Loganville. Congratulations to the ninth grade players and coaches on a fine season of 15 wins and 3 losses.

Jeff Francoeur's Jersey Retired
Parkview baseball retired the Number 12 jersey of Jeff Francoeur on Monday, April 9 prior to the Brookwood game. In a very moving ceremony, Principal Buchanan, Athletic Director Bostic, Coach Brown, Coach Buchanan and Jeff spoke. See the Media page for links to several articles about Jeff Francoeur Night.

2007 Schedules Have Been Posted
The Varsity, JV, and Freshman schedules for the 2007 season are now available. The Varsity plays six Region 8-AAAAA teams in home-and-away series (Meadowcreek is not playing a region schedule). The Panthers make their annual trek to Valdosta to play some of the top teams in Florida (Florida Christian, North Florida Christian, Pace) in the Georgia-Florida Challenge. Parkview rounds out its schedule with non-region games against defending AAAAA State Champion Lassiter, defending AAA State Champion Blessed Trinity, and other top programs such as Cartersville, Centennial, Collins Hill, Columbus, Kennesaw Mountain, McEachern, Marist, Mill Creek and Milton.

The Junior Varsity plays a 16-game schedule in a league consisting of Brookwood, Central Gwinnett, Dacula, Grayson, Loganville and Oconee County. The JV wraps up the season with a league tournament on April 28.

The Freshmen team plays a 16-game schedule in the league consisting of Brookwood, Dacula, Grayson, Heritage, Loganville, Salem, and South Gwinnett. They wrap the season up on April 28 with a league tournament.
